Last week, I had an opportunity to visit students at Lake View, Amundsen, and Bell Elementary, rounding out the week at Bell's Fine Arts Night.

It was a blast seeing arts teachers marching through the hallways in a meticulously crafted coyote costume while nearby students played the saxophone, trombone, and drums.

Thanks to our incredible volunteers who mulched Merryman and Zatterberg Park this weekend. Just in time for the kids heading outside to play as the weather warms up!

Irene's Finer Diner is ready to re-open! After rebuilding from a fire, they're officially reopening this weekend.

I got a sneak preview today, and it's well worth the visit. Stop by this weekend to enjoy breakfast staples, speciality pancakes, skillets, and more. So glad they're back!

My thoughts are with the two CPD officers who were shot and seriously injured at Swedish Covenant Hospital earlier today.

A truly awful day for our Lincoln Square community and our entire City.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The Western Brown Line Station is closed this weekend beginning today, Friday at 10 PM. Trains will bypass the station.

🔘 Service expected to return to normal at end of the weekend.

Rain or shine, volunteers showed up for the annual Ravenswood Ave cleanup with Commissioner Degnen's office and Cleanup Club Chicago!

Big thanks to everyone who picked up litter on Ravenswood Ave from Irving to Lawrence to help us keep our neighborhood clean.

IMPORTANT - Western Brown Line Riders

The CTA announced impacts to Western Brown Line riders starting on Monday, April 6th. Loop-Bound travelers will bypass the Western Brown Line Station for the next two weeks in order to resurface the interior floor.

⏺️ 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟭𝟳𝘁𝗵: Western Brown Line Station closed, shuttles provided

The entire Western Brown Line station will be closed beginning 10 PM on Friday, April 17th to until 4 AM Monday, April 20th as crews resurface the interior floor. Shuttle buses will be provided from nearby Brown Line stops.

✅️ Towels (new and gently used)
✅️ Feminine hygiene products
✅️ and more!
