Steinmetz College Prep takes #3 in the list of the with only a 68% graduation rate. It's time for Chicago Public Schools to put Steinmetz LSC on probation. Local School Councils (LSC) are responsible for:
1-Approving the school based academic plan (CIWP)
2-Approving the alignment of budgetary resources to the CIWP
3- Engaging in the annual evaluation of contract principal’s professional practices
4- Selecting or renewing contract principals

Regular people have to run for LSC, vote, and be engaged. Educate yourself on candidates and most importantly what connections they have to want to be part of an LSC and lastly make your voice count. The right people in an LSC can make a huge impact in our future generations.
