What an extraordinary year it has been. UC YDSA began one year ago. Growing out of the Evan Holt campaign, we hoped to harness that same energy and cohesion, and direct it to campus organizing. We had fewer members then. And fewer avenues for achieving our goals. Now, ours is one of the largest YDSA chapters in Ohio, with countless rallies, counterprotests, forums, and campaigns under our belt. The relationships we've built with organizations on and off campus give us reach unlike any we had before. But one thing has always remained our priority: serving you. The University of Cincinnati student body. Those whose lives we're fighting to improve, and without whom we couldn't exist at all. So thank you, all of you, for making UC YDSA what it is today.

As the semester ends, we would like to thank everyone on our Art and Design Committee. From the Reclamation Mural to the Solidarity Garden they've been able to harness creative energy into incredible artistic projects. Join us on Friday for our final send off.

Friendsgiving is over. But we hope the memory of last night will warm the hearts and minds of our members due Thanksgiving break, and the coming cold winter evenings. Thank you to everyone who came out.

As Thanksgiving comes closer, people often forget the vast portions of the student population who can't return home. Whether it's because of dysfunctional family life, lack of income, or lack of transportation, remaining in touch with family members can be a difficult thing. Which is why UC YDSA is holding a Friendsgiving, to unite all those still in Cincinnati for the holiday season. Join us on November 20th at 5PM. The polls remain open, and millions of people across Ohio are casting their ballots. Rather than endorsing candidates, UC YDSA wanted to mention Issues 1 and 2. Though neither have gotten as much media attention as J.D Vance or Nan Whaley, both would be catastrophic to Ohioan's civil rights and civil liberties if passed. If you're a college student, a faculty member, or a regular citizen, it doesn't matter. To protect the voting rights of immigrants in this state- and protect the judicial system from excessive bail - it is imperative that both amendments should fail. While the polls are open, vote no on Issues 1 and 2.
