For many years TDU and Labor Notes served union members through education programs. Now, they are denying union members access to their programs. It is a sad day.

This was posted on the Local 41 (Kansas City) website. Wondering why Local 100 has not shared this notification with Teamsters in Greater Cincinnati.

Unfortunately, as part of the 2008 UPS buyout of the Central States, the UPS full-timer pension plan is required to pay the pensions for workers in the Central States (including Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana) until the worker reaches 65 years of age.

As the UPS bean counters reviewed the applications for the buyout, they must have realized that UPS would be on the hook for a great big portion of the early retirement pensions. This may be why they are denying applications for the buyout in the Central Region.

By denying the Central States Teamsters this buyout, UPS has made it clear that they are targeting and trying yo hurt Teamster pension plans.

It maybe illegal for then to deny Central Region Teamsters the buyout, but don't hold your breath waiting for the Teamsters to step up and protect you against this discrimination. They will not.

Trump is a deranged lunatic who prays on hate and ignorance.

This what a real President and real Leadership is.

GOP is corrupt.

The Senate unanimously agreed to hang a plaque honoring the officers who protected the Capitol when it was under attack by a pro-Trump mob on Jan. 6 five years ago.

The resolution requires the Architect of the Capitol “to prominently display, in a publicly accessible location in the Senate wing of the United States Capitol, a plaque honoring the members of law enforcement responding on January 6, 2021, until the plaque can be placed in its permanent location.”

On Tuesday, the outside Election Supervisor counted the ballots for local 100. The incumbents hired this outside company to run the local elections. The local members pay the Election fees through our union dues.

The union broke from well established practices, by running the local officer elections simultaneously with the IBT Convention Delegate Election.

That change was largely hidden from the membership as the incumbents improperly canceled several monthly membership meetings. The local failed to hold a single monthly membership meeting from early May until November. 6 months without a meeting.

Along with canceling meetings, the incumbents ceased production of a local membership newsletter and they sparsely posted any worthwhile information for members on the official website.

ELECTION RESULTS POSTED IN ACCOMPANYING PHOTOS

The Delegate election was won by a clean sweep by the incumbents. A measley 5% of the membership voting in this important election.

But, the local officer elections were more controversial. On nomination night, each of the Stand Up slate were nominated. Only the President's race was contested.

According to long standing Election procedures, those none contested position should have been affirmed on nomination night. But, Bill Davis and the incumbents convinced the Election company to allow them to "load" the officer-agent ballot.

That corruption of the local elections ballot, gave Davis an unfair and illegal advantage.

Again, with only 10% of the membership voting, the stand up slate won across the board.

But, realistically the only position won at the count was that Bill Davis was re-elected as Local 100 president.

Great Job Local 63!!
A great example of what a GOOD Local can do for it's members.

The Teamsters United for Change slate offered this same program for Local 100 in 2019. With proposed cost cutting, we believed we could provide turkeys and calendars for every member of Local 100, a Union sponsored Kings Island Day and a number of added services for our members.

However, the Stand Up slate was elected and they have provided none of these services for Local 100 members.

In fact, representation has dropped significantly, while (to no one's surprise) they've increased their own salaries substantially. Local 100 is often the punch line to jokes around the country as a poorly run and poor led Local union.

Last year, despite huge increases in our Member's union dues the local spent more than they brought in AGAIN!

In 2024, Local had income (primarily dues) of about $4 million. But, Davis and his gang at the hall spent $4.1 million. Excessive Salaries, lots of unnecessary travel, wasted union funds and resources, while the members suffer.

At this time, Local 100 membership is down to 4,300 members. There were more than 5000 at the time they took office in 2020.

In 1980, Local 100 had more than 13,000 members. Local 100 was a midwest powerhouse Local back then. Not the sad joke our union has become.

Also, the diversity of our membership is down. In 1980, Local 100 had 13,000 workers at more than 200 employers represented. In 2011, about 5,000 at 65 employers. in 2025, Local 100 is down to just 4,300 at 45 employers.

It sure would be nice if the Local 100 leaders would try to help the members, instead of just filling their own pockets with our union dues.
