St. Rita's Haunted House

Our haunted house family has lost a valuable member. We are grateful for his time he spent with us and volunteering to help. Thank you Dan! Never forgotten!

The Haunted House was unable to find a location this year to cage our monsters...beware everyone as they have the desire to scare!!!

As a reminder Tom schumate funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10am at st peter and paul church. There will be a gathering afterwards, please let me know if you're attending. ...covered dishes are welcomed.

Sadly, we've been informed one of our life long monsters has passed away. We would appreciate our haunt family coming together and joining in the memorial service of Tom Shumate. He will be greatly missed, we can never truly show our appreciation for what he has done with our group for the community. The memorial will be held 10am on December 29th at St. Peter and Paul Church in Reading Ohio. Please share this with other monsters and volunteers so we can all come together and show support for Tom and his family.

Well.... this has been a very hard and challenging month. Unfortunately due to more unforeseen insurance issues the matinee scheduled for sunday November 1st at the ussr nightmare has been cancelled. Again we would like to thank everyone who has stuck by us and continued the support. Special thanks to Alan, Glenna, Terry and crew from the ussr nightmare for the assistance and help throughout the month. And also to our many volunteers....we would be nothing without you! ! Happy Halloween! Be ready for next year!!!

The Haunted House will be hosting a children matinee!! Thanks to The USS Nightmare and B&B Riverboats we will be able to have a one day matinee and a haunted tour. Sunday, November 1st between 1-4 pm located at the USS Nightmare there will be 2 tours available. $5 is a tour through the boat with lights on, no scares and candy passed out in every room. $8 gets that tour plus scares on the second floor....better hold on to your candy!!

Regrettably, due to unforeseen permit issues, electrical problems and time constraints we the Operation Staff of the Haunted House, (formally known as St. Rita's haunted house) must announce that this year we will not be able to open the spook house doors.
This announcement comes along with great sadness. We would like to send our deepest gratitude to all of our patrons who have been there with us for 39 years with the hopes that your support will continue in the future. The success of our haunted house is due to all of the volunteers that came together from multiple schools and neighborhoods,spending endless hours in preparation and operations... including our special friends from the USS Nightmare.

We continue to plan events for the new future but for today Halloween well wishes to all.

Its official we have a new haunt home for our monsters!!!! Thank you everyone for being patient and not giving up! The haunt will be located at 630 kemper commons circle, 45246. We're working hard already and plan to open this coming weekend!!! Volunteers please contact Steve, Lori, or Kim for more information we will need you all! Again we greatly appreciate everyone!
