A special place on Washington Park, in historic Over-the-Rhine In 1895 Mrs. Wm. H. Taft formed the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
She was determined to create a world class orchestra. To do so, she knew she had to recruit an internationally known conductor...like Frank van der Stucken. The CSO's founding conductor resided at 1215 Elm during the 1900 census, and presumably from the CSO's debut in 1896. We celebrate this special tenant and our building's connection with a special aspect of Cincinnati history.

What a great summer on the Park...Bluegrass Thursdays, Flow Fridays, Opera in the Park, Shakespeare building up, Memorial Hall getting ready to reopen, Streetcar Grand Opening set for September 9th. Plus numerous workouts, yoga, Fleas, festivals and concerts. OTR, OH!
