“Tenants should never have to fear losing their housing because someone entrusted with managing their rent payments chose greed ahead of their responsibilities,” said Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich. “These allegations are a serious breach of trust that affected residents and created unnecessary hardship. My office will continue to hold accountable those who exploit positions of trust.”

“This was a senseless act of violence that began with a simple request to use a cellphone and ended with the tragic death of an innocent man,” Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich said. “We are grateful to the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit for their swift work in gathering surveillance video, witness statements, and physical evidence to identify and arrest the suspect.”
Coston is being held on $1,055,000 million bond. He faces a potential sentence of life in prison with parole eligibility after 25.5 years.

Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Jennifer Branch heard more than three dozen expungement cases last week, most of which were granted in compliance with the law. It was a joy to hear how these one-time defendants turned their lives around. Once their sentence is finished, they deserve a second chance to find a job housing and in some cases gain entry to specifically school programs. That chance starts now.

Following tradition, I was pleased my office again donated $10,000 to the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund. We all came out to celebrate. It’s money seized from convicted criminals and I can’t think of a better way to use it than to make our community better with community fund projects.
