The FBI is warning Americans to beware of what they are calling "banking spoof call" scams where scammers disguise their phone numbers to display as the caller ID of a financial institution.
These scams are designed to deceive victims into revealing sensitive information, subsequently allowing the scammers to access the victims' bank account.
If you receive a call or text from someone claiming to be from your bank and you are unsure whether it is legitimate, do not respond or provide any information.
Remember:
• According to the FBI, legitimate banks will never ask for your username or password over the phone.
• You should ignore any request to move money or gain access to your bank account.
• Hang up if it is a phone call, then contact your bank directly using the phone number listed on the back of your debit or credit card.

Please be aware of the following jury duty scams.
🚨 SCAM ALERT: Jury Duty Warrant Scam 🚨
The Hardeeville Police Department and other local agencies are warning the public about an ongoing scam involving fake jury duty warrants.
Scammers may call, text, or email claiming you missed jury duty and now face a warrant or fines. They often pressure you to pay immediately to avoid arrest. The scammers use prior or current law enforcement officials’ names and information to seem official. Scammers will also “spoof” the incoming phone number to appear official with the name of an agency appearing on the caller ID. A scammer will often send fraudulent summons or warrants to intimidate victims.
⚠️ Know the facts:
• Law enforcement will NEVER call, text, or email you to demand payment for fines or warrants.
• Legitimate agencies do NOT accept payment through Bitcoin ATMs, gift cards, or other unusual methods.
• Law enforcement will not send QR codes for payment on fines, DO NOT SCAN QR codes such as these or open links attached to fraudulent summons.
• Real court matters are handled through official, verifiable channels, not urgent payment requests.
If you receive one of these messages:
✔️ Do NOT send money or provide personal information
✔️ Hang up or ignore the message
✔️ Report the incident to your local law enforcement agency
Stay alert and help spread the word to protect others in your community.

Uber's Women Only Option launched this week. Women-only Uber drivers can help women feel safer and more comfortable, especially when traveling alone or at night. They may also reduce concerns about harassment, encourage more women to use rideshare services, and can create a safer environment for the women drivers. 💪🚗
Uber's women-only option goes nationwide in the U.S.
The new feature is being rolled out despite an ongoing class action lawsuit against the policy in California, filed by Uber drivers who argue that it discriminates against men.
