UPDATE: Just to clarify this is for mobile home registration stickers only! If you own the land and it is assessed, then you would apply for the over 65/disability exemption based, which is income based.
Don't forget!!! If you are over the age of 65 and you have a registered mobile home, you can claim an exemption. You claim this every year between October 1 and November 30 and just pay the issuance fee and county fee. You pay $0 for the State registration fee! Please notify the collection clerk when you go in to get your sticker.

NOTICE:
Wanted to make everyone aware there was a misprint on tax notices.
Taxes are delinquent as of January 1, 2027 not 2026. We’ve had a few phone calls and wanted to clarify. So sorry for any confusion. We’ve attached a copy of the top of a tax bill to show what we are talking about. Please call 205-755-1249 with any questions.

We are busy working all of the computer kinks out and finalizing the organizing of the new offices. This has been a huge undertaking and we thank you so much for your patience. Remember that we will re-open this coming Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the new location, 53 Robert Threlkeld Parkway, directly across from the Chilton County Board of Education. No late fees, of course, will be charged until June 4, 2026 for May tag renewals to accommodate for the closing. You can also still renew online as usual.
