Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a day of reflection and joy. We honor the resilience of African Americans who have been fighting for freedom since the end of the Civil War.

Today, we honor our ancestors and the generations who have come before us and the generations to come. The Salvation Army is humbled to join in the celebration and stand in solidarity with all who are fighting for justice and equality today.

Congratulations on a job well done to Majors Bob and Karen Bender. From Mount Vernon, to Painesville, and The Salvation Army in Mansfield and Dewald Community Center, with a few more stops in between. The impact that they have had on these communities will be long-lasting.
