Some moments in history changed laws. Some changed lives. And some changed the future for families who hadn’t even been born yet. Loving Day honors the 1967 Supreme Court decision that struck down laws banning in*******al marriage in the United States. Because of that decision, generations of families—including ours—exist today. As a Black and multiracial woman, this day is personal. It’s a reminder that rights are often won because ordinary people refuse to accept injustice as normal. The story of Richard and Mildred Loving isn’t just about marriage. It’s about dignity.
