💜 I Travel So You Don’t Have To 💜
Some days my office looks like a desk…
Other days it looks like a kitchen table, a coffee shop booth, or the passenger seat of my car.
And some days, it looks like sitting in traffic on the way to help a client. 🚗😅
Mobile notary work means meeting clients where life happens — whether that’s at home, at work, or somewhere in between.
No matter the miles, traffic, or location, the goal is always the same: making important signings simple, convenient, and stress-free.

📄 Know Your Important Documents — Power of Attorney
A Power of Attorney is a legal document that allows someone to act on another person’s behalf in certain matters.
Depending on how it is written, it may allow a trusted person to help with financial decisions, property matters, or healthcare-related decisions.
Many families choose to have these documents prepared as part of planning ahead for unexpected situations or future needs.
Because a Power of Attorney is an important legal document, it is often notarized as part of the signing process.
Planning ahead can bring peace of mind for everyone involved.

The Moment When the Notary Shows Up With That Stack of Papers…
One of the most common reactions during a real estate closing is surprise at the size of the document package.
Mortgage signings often include many pages of paperwork, and each document plays an important role in the loan process.
These packages typically include things like:
• the Promissory Note
• the Mortgage or Deed of Trust
• the Closing Disclosure
• affidavits and lender certifications
• various federal and state required disclosures
Many of these documents must also be signed, dated, and sometimes notarized to ensure everything is properly completed and returned to the title company.
In some cases, lenders now offer the option of a hybrid closing, where certain documents are signed electronically ahead of time. When this option is available, it can reduce the number of pages the notary brings to the appointment for the signer to physically sign.
While it may seem like a lot of paperwork, each document helps ensure the transaction is completed accurately and securely.
Disclaimer: The picture may slightly exaggerate the number of pages… so don’t be scared when the notary arrives! 😄

✍️ Don’t Sign Your Documents Before the Notary Appointment
Many documents need to be signed in the presence of the notary. Signing ahead of time can cause delays and may require documents to be completed again.
Please wait until the notary arrives and instructs you when to sign.
Helpful reminders for a smooth appointment:
• Have all signers present
• Bring valid government-issued photo ID
• Have documents ready
• Ask questions if you are unsure where to sign
Waiting to sign helps ensure your appointment goes smoothly and your documents are properly completed.
