During the I-90 Major Rehab on Cleveland's west side, we often get questions about why the ramp replacements take 60 days.

First, the work is fully reconstructing the ramp from the ground up, and often below ground with drainage replacements. Take a look at the work happening on the Warren Rd. entrance ramp and you can get a good idea just why these ramp replacements take time. It's not simple resurfacing work; it's ripping out the old and constructing new.

The Ridge Rd. entrance ramp to I-480 westbound is anticipated to open sometime next week. Today, they are working on some of the final touches like pavement grinding and earthwork.

I-490 eastbound at the I-90/I-71 split is Now Open. The road was previously closed due to a crash.

This closure will now go into effect on Monday, June 8.

The following are Now Open!
SR 176 north at Denison Ave.
I-480 east and west to SR 176 north.

ODOT D12 Construction Update for May 28:
✅ Geauga County: U.S. 322 between Caves Rd. and Laser Dr. will be closed on June 1.
✅ I-271 north exit to Cedar Rd. / Brainard Rd. will be closed overnight May 29.

The closure of the Ridge Rd. entrance ramp to I-480 eastbound has been delayed one week to June 15.

The Ridge Rd. entrance ramp to I-480 eastbound will be closed on Monday, June 8, for approximately 60 days for pavement replacement.

The detour will be Brookpark Rd. to the State Rd. entrance.

The Ridge Rd. entrance ramp to I-480 westbound will be open prior to this closure.

This closure has been delayed. We will post an update once a new date is scheduled.

The I-271 northbound ramp to U.S. 422 eastbound will be closed over the weekend for pavement repairs.

The closure will be in place Friday, May 29, at 7 p.m. through Monday, June 1, at 6 a.m.

The detour will be to continue on I-271, turnaround at Harvard Rd. and take the I-271 southbound ramp to U.S. 422 eastbound.
