We have donated over 20,000 PCs to over 500 Cleveland schools and non-profits.
Long before the term "digital divide" became ubiquitous,
CAP volunteers were working to bring the life-changing power of technology to all the people of Cleveland and beyond.

CAP has always been run by volunteers – no salaries, no fancy space but we have refurbished and donated over 25,000 PCs to over 500 schools and non-profits in Cleveland. Remember CAP on http://capinc.org
CAP volunteers just donated 25 PCs to Family Promise of Cleveland whose mission is “We provide families facing the crisis of homelessness with a safe place designed to engage, inspire, and guide them toward a future where they feel empowered to control the course of their lives”.

Even during the pandemic, the volunteers of Computers Assisting People have continued to work to bridge the Digital Divide in Cleveland (every ward) and other needy areas (East Cleveland, etc.). In fact we have been busier than ever as we received numerous emergency requests from organizations, teachers, students, etc. who suddenly needed computers and software and devices at home because they could not go to work or school as usual.
CAP volunteers have been doing things like this for about 25 years and have donated over 25,000 computers (and countless printers, routers, scanners, etc.) and uncountable training/troubleshooting/set-up volunteer hours to over 550 schools and non-profit organizations in Cleveland.
You have lots of choices on this Giving Tuesday but if you can we’d appreciate your support of CAP and our volunteers (we are all volunteers) so we can keep the mission going.
Visit the website at http://www.capinc.org/ an make a donation (any amount is appreciated) securely via PayPal

A big thanks to Charles Stack and Flashstarts for their generous donations to many non-profits this week of tech items, furniture and much more. CAP will use the items to continue in our mission to bridge the Digital Divide in Cleveland.
Very proud of all the CAP volunteers who have continued to work (6 ' away from each other) to bridge the digital divide in Cleveland. Just finishing 30 more PCs that will go to Cleveland school kids so they can do homework and not fall farther behind.
Computers Assisting People volunteers were honored to refurbish and donate 30 PCs to
for their low cost internet access partnership project.

Never forgotten, can never be replaced. Super CAP volunteers Dan Davenport and Ken Eskridge were born a week apart and 92 years later passed away within a week of each other. In between they were fantastic people and volunteers.
