The Cold Spring Home Pride Lions Club hosted another successful American Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, October 5, 2026, at the St. Boniface Parish Center.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, 98 units were collected, including 9 Power Red donations. These contributions help ensure the Red Cross maintains a vital blood supply for patients in need.

The Home Pride Lions would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all donors, 2 RN students from Central Lakes College, as well as the St. Boniface Parish staff, the American Red Cross team, and the Home Pride Lions who volunteered their time. Thank you also to those who have already registered for the next drive.

Please mark your calendar for our next Blood Drive in January 25, 2027. To reserve a preferred donation time, sign up now at redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.

👀 KidSight Vision Screening This Week! 🦁

This week, the Cold Spring Home Pride Lions will be visiting area elementary schools to provide free KidSight vision screenings for students.

📅 Our schedule:

Monday & Tuesday: Cold Spring Elementary
Wednesday: Richmond Elementary and St. Peter & Paul Elementary
Thursday: St. Boniface Elementary

Parents, please make sure your child brings their eyeglasses to school and wears them every day. Children can learn and participate more effectively when they are seeing clearly! 👓📚

The Lions KidSight screening is free, quick, and non-invasive and uses a special screening device to check for several potential vision concerns.

If you have questions, please contact a member of the Cold Spring Home Pride Lions. You can also learn more about the KidSight program and the screening device at the Lions KidSight website.
