Continuing our Mental Health Awareness Month series, we’re highlighting more ways our team and youth leaders support their mental health.
Up next is Anjolie, one of our Teen Board members from Cheyenne Mountain High School.
Anjolie shares that listening to music and taking time to herself to relax are some of the ways she supports her mental health.
Other healthy coping skills can include:
• Practicing gratitude throughout the day
• Spending time doing activities that bring comfort and peace
Sometimes healthy coping is simply giving yourself permission to pause, recharge, and care for yourself without guilt.
As we close out Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to remember that mental health matters year-round. We hope these conversations continue to encourage others to explore healthy ways to support their mental health beyond just one month.

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to be par Mountain Highway Music Collaborative/MeadowGrass Music Festival and it was wonderful to be back continuing this amazing partnership! 💙

Tomorrow is the final day to complete the survey. Every response collected is one more voice in shaping how we respond to mental health crises. 💚
There are a few days left to fill out a Mental Health Crisis Experience Survey that the Su***de Prevention Collaborative of El Paso County is conducting.
Organizers are hoping for at least 400 responses – which are anonymous – to gauge how crisis care can be improved from locals who have used mental health services in El Paso County.
The survey is open through Friday to any adult ages 18 and over and is available in English and Spanish at the home page of the collaborative at spcollab.org.
It’s the first community-wide effort to collect first-hand experiences of mental health crisis care across the system, from the time someone reaches out for help through their transition back to regular life, said Cassandra Walton, executive director of Pikes Peak Su***de Prevention Partnership and chair of the Su***de Prevention Collaborative of El Paso County. 🔗 Read more: https://buff.ly/zE9KMk4
