π RUN4HER 2026 REGISTRATION IS OFFICIALLY OPEN π
Every year, thousands of lives are impacted by domestic violence.
Some survivors are still fighting to rebuild.
Some are finding their voice for the first time.
Some families are carrying the memory of someone they loved.
And some of us participate because we refuse to stay silent about an issue that affects far too many people.
That is why we Run4Her.
Throughout the month of July, survivors, advocates, families, and supporters from across the country will come together to Walk. Run. Move. For Survivors.
You do not have to be a runner to participate.
Walk around your neighborhood.
Take a hike.
Use a treadmill.
Ride a bike.
Gather a team.
Honor a loved one.
Support a survivor.
Every step matters.
Every mile has a meaning.
π REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN.

PTSD doesn't only come from war zones or single traumatic events. For many domestic violence survivors trauma is built through repeated fear, coercive control, intimidation, threats, emotional abuse, stalking, and physical harm, over months or years.
Because trauma responses don't always look the way people expect, survivors are often misunderstood. Hypervigilance may be labeled as "paranoia." Emotional numbness may be mistaken for not caring. Irritability may be judged as anger problems. Difficulty trusting others may be seen as being "dramatic" or "difficult." Even delayed reactions can lead others to question what happened.
PTSD is a trauma response to surviving experiences that overwhelmed a person's sense of safety, not a character flaw.
Healing is possible. Understanding matters. π

Abuse is a pattern.
Not a bad day.
A bad day doesnβt create fear, control, manipulation, or repeated harm.
Survivors deserve to be believed. π
