El Paso County Chair Carrie Geitner joined Congressman Jeff Crank and Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink at Schriever Space Force Base for an important announcement on continued investment in our region's military and space missions.

The announcement highlights the continued growth of Space Force operations in El Paso County, including new federal investment, a $250 million Space Force Operations Facility expected to support 2,500 civilian jobs, and expanded acquisition leadership to advance critical space capabilities.

I joined our local leaders to discuss today’s announcement from the Air Force and how these investments will impact our community. I promised my constituents that after the Space Command move that we would work with the Administration to bring more jobs and missions back to Colorado’s Fifth District. Today, we delivered on that promise.
