Independence Movement Day Event!
Korean Independence Movement Day, known as Samiljeol (삼일절) or March 1st Movement Day, is a South Korean national holiday celebrated annually on March 1st. It commemorates the 1919 declaration of independence and widespread peaceful protests against Japanese colonial rule. Designated a "red day" (legal holiday), it honors patriotic martyrs and strengthens national identity. Our Southern Colorado Korean Association had the honor of hosting an event to commigrate this eventful day.
