⚠️UPDATE⚠️

The intersection of Locust St and 9th St is now back open.

We appreciate your cooperation while we repaired a residential service line.

The intersection of Locust St and 9th St will be closed for a service line repair. There will be no access from 9th St to Hilltop Dr. To get to Hilltop Dr you will have to take Locust St to 7th St then to High St to get back to Hilltop. The closure will hopefully only be for a short time.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation during this repair.

🚨 VANDALISM AT CHAUTAUQUA PARK 🚨

We have recently had some vandalism and damage occurring at Chautauqua Park, and we are asking for the community’s help in deterring this activity.

We have had a vehicle spinning circles in the grass on the south side of the parking lot and near the play structure. We have also had a vehicle cut across the grass and field in the middle of the circle drive and leave ruts. This type of activity damages the park and creates additional work and expense for the City.

If you see any vehicles causing damage or driving where they should not be in the park, please contact City Hall and report it. If possible, provide a description of the vehicle, license plate number, and the approximate time and location.

We appreciate everyone’s help in keeping Chautauqua Park safe and enjoyable for everyone in our community.

If you see something, please say something. Thank you for helping us protect our community park!

⚠️MANHOLE COVER CAUTION ⚠️

We have received several reports that the manhole lid at the intersection of Locust Street and 7th Street has come off. Each time our crews have arrived on scene, the cover has been in place.

However, the manhole frame is broken, causing the lid to sit loosely. The area will need to be excavated and the frame and cover replaced.

For now, a cone has been placed on the manhole to alert motorists. Please use caution when traveling through this intersection.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to address this issue.

⛔️Lane closure update⛔️

🛑MAIN ST HILL WILL BE CLOSED🛑

We have had numerous people drive around the barricades and cones to our construction site and nearly hit workers. The construction area has become unsafe and we need to now completely shut down the road.

Main St from the bottom of the hill and the intersection of Maple and 2nd St will be completely blocked off during construction hours. It will be opened back up to one lane during off construction hours.

Please obey all road closed/construction signs, our workers want to go home every night to their loved ones just like anybody else would.

⚠️ TREE DOWN ⚠️

We currently have a tree down on Orchard Lane that is blocking most of the roadway.

City crews will remove it as soon as weather conditions allow us to do so safely.

Please avoid the area if possible and use an alternate route until the obstruction can be cleared.

We appreciate your patience and will provide updates as they become available. 🚧🌳
