If you haven’t sent in an email yet to ask the board to reconsider their vote on the science curriculum for K-8, please take a moment this weekend to speak up on behalf of our teachers and students. This article does a great job of explaining why it matters. I’ll put the emails in the comments for easy access to send one quick email to everyone on the board plus Superintendent Golden. Have a great weekend!

Well, it’s a hard loss to swallow with only 218 votes separating the winner. I pray Dr Margie Johnson represents our district well and focuses on the issues that really matter to our kids.
Thank you to the 1657 who showed up and voted to support me. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all of you and representing our amazing schools and teachers over the last four years.
And a very special thank you to the amazing team of volunteers who have showed up UNPAID for the last few months to help this campaign. I’m sorry that things didn’t turn out the way we wanted, but with this close of a race, hopefully that’s a sign that we’ve moved the needle a little and people will start paying attention to local elections now that we see the impact that they can have on our public schools. Your efforts are SO appreciated and you’ve been amazing role models for our kids! I don’t have enough words to thank you. ❤️❤️❤️

The final endorsement and 2 of the over 41,000 reasons I’m running to continue serving on the WCS school board. Polls are open until 7pm, please come make your voice heard! Your vote could make all the difference!!

A lot of folks we’ve been talking to during early voting mentioned that they needed a little more time to do their research before they vote on Election Day tomorrow, which is a great thing to do! Here’s a little intro about me and my background as a teacher and parent to two kids in WCS.
If you want more info, I’ll put the link to the various candidate questionnaires and interviews I’ve done over the past few months. You can also email me any questions at [email protected].
I hope to earn your support and vote on Election Day tomorrow to continue the work to keep our public schools strong! ❤️✅🗳️💙

The plan was to share 2 endorsements per day leading up to Election Day (tomorrow!!!), but they kept on coming, so today we are posting four! Tomorrow I’ll save the very best for last. 💕
I’ll include the link to all of my endorsements and messages of support in the comments, but please remember that your support along with your VOTE is what matters!
Tomorrow is the last chance to push that button next to Jennifer Aprea to re-elect your independent board rep with proven experience addressing the real issues we have in our district 5 schools. I hope to have earned your support, and that if you haven’t voted yet you’ll make a plan to get your vote counted tomorrow from 7am-7pm! Every vote will matter this election! 💙✅🗳️❤️

Two more amazing endorsements I’m honored to share today! When we did the rezoning in 2022, it was my first rezoning as a board member. I made a concerted effort to get feedback from our community before any final decisions were made at the district level. The community feedback meetings were a huge success, and led to the smoothest rezoning we’ve seen in recent history!
Of course we all know that this rezoning wasn’t the final solution to all the growth we are still experiencing in our Nolensville area schools. This is why I’d appreciate your vote on Thursday so I can continue the work advocating to stick to the five-year capital plan, get our new schools built by 2027, and do one major rezoning that will account for the new homes currently being built and the growth that’s happening here in Nolensville without bumping kids all around from school to school or splitting neighborhoods. This is what the majority of parents I’ve spoken with want because we know it’s what’s best for kids.
If you agree, please make sure to get your vote counted for Jennifer Aprea for County Board of Education on Thursday from 7am-7pm! I appreciate your support! 💙✅🗳️❤️
