Happy 100th Birthday, Mr. James Bussey, the oldest known Spencerian. After graduating from William Henry Spencer High School in 1944, Mr. Bussey traveled to Morehouse College and also graduated from Columbus College. He worked as a Professional Chef and a Mail Carrier. He is a Life Member of Alphi Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc . His angelic voice is no stranger to St. James AME Church. He and His late wife Margarite Bussey (union of 72 years) welcomed four children, two of them deceased. He has 6 grandchildren. "The world is the kinder place because you walked through it." Congressman Sanford Bishop. In the City of Columbus, Mayor Skip Henderson has proclaimed today as The James Andrew Bussey Appreciation Day.
