Recently, we have had the honor to work alongside other volunteers at Jordan’s Crossing; a resource center that dedicates food and other supplies to families. Being able to go out into the community and provide support for families has been an amazing opportunity!! Thank you Jordans Crossing for inviting us out!!

Cadets had the opportunity to recruit at South high school and Franklinton Prep high school for their career fairs! Students learned about our PSC and Cadet programs and participated in physical challenges to win prizes!! Thank you for having us! 💪
Serving smiles and making memories with the East Linden Elementary school students! 🚓🏃♂️Field Day got competitive REAL fast! Shoutout to East Linden for showing us how Field Day is REALLY done! Huge thanks to the students for letting us join the fun on Wednesday 😎☀️

Skills USA and career fairs have officially kickstarted our busy season! Cadets assisted in judging “crime scene investigation” scenarios and running a recruiting table for the Skills USA participants. The cadets also ran a recruiting table at Africentric High School to recruit new members for our PSC and Cadet programs!! 🔥

Last Wednesday, the Cadets got the privilege to test out OPOTA driving courses. OPOTA’s purpose is to prepare future police officers confidence from emergency response maneuvers to pursuit control. It’s more than just driving; it’s about learning control and confidence behind the wheel. 🚔🛞🚨

Hilltonia Middle School graduated 25 students in their completion of the TAPS Academy!! The students participated in a formal ceremony and a reception with snacks, drinks, and had one-on-one interactions with their mentor officers. Congratulations Hilltonia TAPS students from the Columbus Police Cadets!!! 👮♀️🎉
The “East Central Province of Kappas” Teen Summit is a youth-focused event designed to empower the next generation through education, leadership, and personal growth. Our goal is to inspire young people and introduce them into the law enforcement career path 📚👮
Hard work continues as the Cadets conquer PT each and every week. Our goal is to prepare every Cadet to meet and surpass the OPOTA physical fitness standards 💪🏋️

This week, we would like to highlight Cadet Babcock and Cadet Christian on their assistance and participation with two career fairs at Gahanna Lincoln and Beechcroft High school! They provided information about our program as well as the cadet program to grow membership and get students interested in a career in law enforcement!! 💪💥
