UPDATE: We have had a lot of questions asking what to bring to the market to receive the $50 benefit and what are the limitations.

We will be operating this via the honor system, and will NOT ask for any documentation this Friday. We would like this to help families experiencing an immediate need for food assistance. We would ask that you use this benefit if you are truly in need of food assistance.

At this Friday's Farmers Market, we are helping local families who could use a little extra support putting food on the table.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Licking County Foundation, the Canal Market District is offering $50 in food tokens to families in need.

Stop by the Canal Market District information table at the Indoor Market at the Historic Newark Arcade this Friday, November 14, 4–7 pm, to receive this benefit.

We’re calling it “the Match without the SNAP” — our way of helping more families access local food. 🥕❤️
