Today's lesson: Critical Support-
What is critical support?
It's being supportive of a person/ place/ thing/ action while being critical of their conduct.

As leftists understanding historical context, nuance, and material conditions we often have to give critical support. Especially of nations that are the victims of the imperial core we live under. I feel many fellow western leftists either don't understand what critical support is, or use it to unquestioningly support something under the veil of critical support.
As Mao said "no investigation, no right to speak". Investigation SHOULD include trying to prove yourself wrong. Funny enough, that's how I learned to source outside of imperial sources. By trying to prove myself wrong. It's easy to forget, that even on the left we are inundated with...... no drowning in anti-communist propaganda. Everything you see is usually there to make you hate the people giving their life or risking them at least to bring us change. Don't let it be for nothing.

Conditional allyship or situational allyship isn't being an ally. If you're about to say "I'm q***r too and I don't care"...... G**o with that. If you don't care, then you don't care about your community. This isn't just using their q***rphobia against them. It's also furthering q***rphobia for others and quite frankly putting you in a position to not care about your community. I am q***r and I do care. So do many others. Turns out- people don't like their identities being weaponized against people you don't like. Weird, I know.
