Memorial Day is a time to remember the sacrifices others made for us. The ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation.
I never say “Happy Memorial Day”, as a combat veteran I personally do not find happiness. I find cause to be thankful for the service my brothers and sisters gave with their lives.
On this Memorial Day weekend, I ask all citizens to do whatever you do safely and consider others. If you drink please do not drive.
God Bless you all and may God provide comfort to the families of my brothers and sisters who made the sacrifice.
Salute.

This is a day we set aside to pay honor to mothers. Mothers are pillars in the family unit, oftentimes holding it down by themselves.
On behalf of the staff of Office of the Solicitor - General Muscogee County, I say Happy Mother’s Day.

FYI:
DUI in GEORGIA.
DUI means “driving under the influence.”
OCGA § 40-6-391 outlines the different ways a motorist can be considered to be under the influence to the extent they are unsafe on the road.
(a) alcohol regardless of BAC level, with .08 being the threshold that renders a motorist automatically unsafe (b) any drug that causes impairment (c) intoxicants such as controlled substance in blood/urine including but not limited to glue, aerosol, or toxic v***r. (d) any combination of this list.
Ma*****na, prescription medication, va**ng intoxicants in the v**e cartridge can result in DUI.
Those under 21 years old, .02 in the threshold;
Those holding commercial drivers license, .04 is the threshold.
I strongly recommend consulting with defense attorney. Remember not knowing the law is never a viable defense to any laws in the state of Georgia.
Now you know.

FYI
If you have business with a Muscogee County, Georgia Court or any court in the state, it is always your responsibility to keep your address up to date with the Clerk Of Court. While it is good and courteous to keep a bonding company up to date, it is equally important to notify the Clerk of Court of any changes in address. Remember, the Clerk will send notice to the address on file. If the address on file is not updated, the chances of you missing court is more likely than not.

Georgia State Senator Ed Harbison was among the first visitors I had when I took office. He took the time to shake hands with staff member present and thanked them for the work they do. Most importantly, he sat with me and gave me encouragement. I told him that I’ll never forget his kind words to me and if he ever let it get out that this old army Drill Sergeant relied on a marine for sound guidance and advice, I’d deny it. On a serious and personal note, I truly appreciate and admire Senator Harbison for his long years of selfless service to God and country.
Salute on your retirement my friend, well deserved. Pull up on me anytime, after all, you will have time. May God continue along with you on you journey.
I am Shevon Sutcliffe Thomas, Solicitor General of Muscogee County Georgia, and I endorse this message.
