Some of the best victories don’t show up on a scoreboard.
Our FCSO Community Engagement Team had a blast at Buddy Ball this weekend — high fives, hugs, encouragement, and nonstop smiles with some incredible athletes and families.
Big thanks to the Columbus Police Department and our FCSO Community Relations Crisis K9 Team for joining in and making the day even better.
Events like this remind us how much stronger we are when we show up together. When the community wins, everybody wins.

Behind the scenes!
Here’s a look at filming day for our Click It or Ticket PSA with the Columbus Clippers and Mekka Don.
From the ballpark to your everyday drive around Franklin County, one message remains the same: buckle up for every trip, in every seat, every time you’re in a vehicle.
Click It or Ticket enforcement is still ongoing throughout Franklin County, and seat belts continue to save lives every day.

Traffic stops are some of the most unpredictable situations deputies encounter.
That’s why ongoing training remains a critical part of the job. Deputies in our OPOTA course are developing skills in vehicle approaches, communication techniques, scene awareness, de-escalation, and decision-making under pressure- all to help keep both the public and law enforcement personnel safe.
These scenario-based exercises help deputies build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and reinforce professional, consistent responses during routine stops and high-stress situations.
