I am so humbled by the over 163,000 Franklin County voters that cast their ballot for me!
Over the past 270 days, I have met some wonderful people and connected to our community in a way I never had before. I am so proud of our positive, enthusiastic grassroots campaign. We were close at 45%, but not close enough. It just isn't my time.
Congratulations to Judge Cocroft on her reelection and thank you so much for all of you who supported me!

Not about to slow down until we reach the finish line!
I had a bunch of lit that won't do me any good after tonight and OSU has a ton of voters who appreciate a candidate taking the time to reach out to them. So here I am!
Only a few hours to go!

We shut the Early Voting Center DOWN!
The last two days at the Board of Elections have been pretty awe-inspiring. Lines were bananas. Yesterday, at its peak, it was about 1/2 mile long!
After all the new faces, I love running into old friends casting their vote. Today, it included a friend I first met when I prosecuted the man who attacked him with a knife 6 years ago. He was so supportive that he even stuck around awhile to pass out my campaign literature to folks lining up!

One way to lure me back to the Early Voting Center for the millionth time? A Big Mac from the McDonald's conveniently located across the street.
I was not the only one drawn to Morse Road yesterday. It seemed like everyone in Franklin County was at the Board of Elections! Nearly every candidate came through and the line of voters stretched completely around the shopping center.
In case you missed out, they reopen this afternoon!

Khari Enharo, community activist and host of the “Straight Talk Live” Radio Show on 95.5FM, invited all the Franklin County candidates for public office to appear on his show for a conversation with the community from 6:00 am to 8:00 am this morning.
The thirteen of us who joined him had a great time. Some got some tough call-in questions. Thank you, Khari, for chance to reach your nearly 500,000 listeners!

Happy Friday from, of course, the Board of Elections Early Voting Center!
So many voters. The line stretched around the building again and again.
TGIF! And by "F" I mean "Four Days til Election Day!"

Call me crazy, but I am actually going to miss this campaign a little...
I have spent so much time with many fellow candidates and volunteers--Democrats, Republicans and Green Party members! (Like the hours many of us spent back at the Board of Elections yesterday.)
I have really loved getting to know them all. We have gone through an adventure together and it's *almost* over.

The early bird gets the worm. And coffee. Lots of coffee.
Accordingly, at about 6:40 this morning, I left home and headed out to Grove City for the Grove City Rotary Club breakfast meeting. I was so happy to be the guest speaker for this week!
The Rotary Club is apolitical so no campaigning there! Instead, I spoke about issues facing the Common Pleas Court and the importance of informed voting for judicial races. Thank you for having me, Rotarians!

For all those worried about voter turnout this year, have no fear.
Let me tell you firsthand, from my home away from home at the Franklin County Board of Elections Early Voting Center, people are turning out! Yesterday no different.
Almost there!

Another campaign first: my first November tan line!
One week to go! Today, I spent 7 straight hours at the Early Voting Center! Never left the parking lot once. Talked to more voters than I can count.
And compliments of the unseasonably sunny, 80° day, I even got a little Vitamin D!

In honor of the Fraternal Order of Police's endorsement and how supportive law enforcement has been to my running for judge...
Our family dressed up the greyhounds as first responders! Happy Halloween!!!

Do you see that line?!
The Early Voting Center was hoppin' yesterday.
The line stretched all the way around the building!
I talked to so many voters on their way to cast their ballot, but my favorite the woman who told me she was voting for me because my husband had knocked on her door and talked to her, going door-to-door. (He got some major points for that one!)
