Central Ohio's first recovery high school for students in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. We are projected to open Fall 2018!

Students newly in recovery from substance use disorders often relapse upon leaving treatment and returning to their old school. A large influence on this pattern is that the most common triggers for adolescent relapse, school stress and the socialization process, are left unmitigated at the average school. The purpose of a recovery high school is to give students in recovery a high-quality educati

We were invited today by the New Albany Community Foundation to attend a special afternoon session where our students got to hear from the great actor, Christian Slater. Mr. Slater was able to share his challenges with mental health and substance abuse. What a great opportunity for our students. Thank you again, for the invite.

Our students and staff had an incredible time at the Recover Out Loud conference hosted by OCAAR today. It was a meaningful opportunity to connect with others in the recovery community—and we even got to enjoy a visit to the zoo! A big thank you to Molly and everyone at OCAAR for such a memorable experience.

We were honored to welcome Dontavius Jarrells to Heartland High School!

Representative Jarrells serves in the Ohio House of Representatives and is a dedicated advocate for stronger, healthier communities across Ohio. During his visit, he took the time to truly connect with our students—sitting down to listen to their stories, their successes, and the challenges they continue to overcome. Our students spoke openly about their journeys and shared thoughtful insights on what our communities need to better support young people, especially those navigating recovery. Representative Jarrells was engaged, responsive, and deeply moved by the honesty and resilience of our students. We are grateful that he not only recognized their greatness, but also committed to staying connected with Heartland High School and supporting efforts to expand access to recovery services—especially for adolescents like ours.

Thank you, Representative Jarrells, for showing up, listening, and standing alongside our students.
