March is Women’s History Month, and March 8th was International Women’s Day. It is a time to recognize the strength, resilience, and contributions of women in our communities.

At COMPASS, we see that strength every day. In our most recent survey, 83% of the people who used our rental assistance services and responded were women. Many of them are the heads of their households, working hard to keep a roof over their families’ heads and create stability during difficult moments.

Seeking support is not a failure. It is a step toward stability. Every family deserves safe housing, and sometimes a little help can make all the difference.

This Women’s History Month, we celebrate the women doing everything they can to care for their households and build a stronger future for themselves and their families. We are proud to stand alongside them.

Our office will be closed on Monday, March 2, 2026, as our team participates in an all staff training. This time allows us to connect, reflect, and strengthen the way we serve our community.

We will reopen Tuesday, March 3, 2026 and look forward to assisting you then. If you are in need of rental or utility assistance, please feel free to submit your request once we reopen.

If you are homeless and in need of shelter, please contact the Homeless Hotline at 614-274-7000.

Thank you for your understanding and for allowing us the time to continue improving the support we provide.

COMPASS is welcoming Nicollette Joseph as our new Community Health Worker!! 🎉

This role centers on trust, presence, and support. Walking with neighbors as they navigate health challenges, connect to resources, and build stability.

Nicollette’s work is one more way we’re showing up as a community that listens, responds, and cares deeply.💙

COMPASS was thrilled to partner once again with Covenant Presbyterian Church for our annual Christmas gift drive! Through the generosity of Covenant and their wonderful congregation, we were able to bless several families who received COMPASS assistance this year with presents and gift cards.

Families enjoyed cookies, cocoa, and plenty of holiday cheer at pickup, a joyful time for all! ❤️

Working together for our community creates more opportunities to share kindness, and we are SO grateful to Covenant Presbyterian Church for continuing this meaningful tradition with us.
