👉ONGEA teamed up with Ohio National Guard Association members early today, making our case in opposition of Ohio House Bill 748, which would establish a new "Armed Forces Reserve Component Scholarship Program."

This tuition program would directly compete with the Ohio National Guard Scholarship Program, and shift state dollars toward federal reserve forces that do not serve the Governor or Ohio communities.

About 10 ONGEA and ONGA members split into groups of 2 or 3 to meet with 28 legislators throughout the day, explaining firsthand how this bill would undermine recruiting, retention, funding stability, and the Guard’s ability to serve Ohio. 💪

He led a 72-hour combat readiness inspection that earned the highest possible score, an achievement reached by only 5% of units, and ensured zero mishaps across five major exercises. His leadership also drove major safety improvements across the wing, strengthening readiness and accountability.

Join Ohio Military Kids and Ohio National Guard Youth Programs for a week of learning and excitement.

Teens will have a 5 day and 4 night adventure diving deeper into their leadership, resilience, and life skills. They will learn and practice these skills while making lifelong friends. Activities may include rock wall climbing, swimming, kayaking, volleyball, high ropes, soccer, ziplining, archery, line dances, crafts, campfire, and more! Join us for all the camp excitement with a purposeful focus on building effective, resilient leaders.
