🍎Some picket lines are physical; others are virtual or figurative. Honoring CEA’s picket line means that you *won’t enter school property* where a physical picket line has been established. It also means that students *won’t engage in any so-called online synchronous and asynchronous “learning”* pursuant to CCS’ Alternative Opening Plan. *Crossing the picket line prolongs the strike.* CEA’s strike will not interfere with students participating in the “grab and go” meal pick-up.

Solidarity with Columbus Education Association teachers who have voted to go on strike, demanding basics for schools, teachers, staff, and students, including air conditioning, appropriate class sizes, and full-time art, music, and P.E. teachers in elementary schools!

Teachers are also on strike to call for an end to tax cuts for wealthy, corporate developers, and to call on Columbus to invest in fully funded schools.

These demands show the power and potential that workers like teachers and school staff have to not only fight for better conditions, but for a better world altogether.

Columbus teachers union votes to strike; Picket lines to begin Monday morning The nearly 4,500-member union met for three hours at the Greater Columbus Convention Center to vote.
