I’m proud to celebrate the partnership between Columbus City Schools, I Know I Can, OhioHealth. As a Beechcroft High School graduate and a member of the Columbus Board of Education this moment is especially meaningful.
After earning my undergraduate degrees, I worked at OhioHealth as a young mother and had a wonderful experience. It’s inspiring to see OhioHealth continuing to cultivate the next generation of healthcare professionals by investing in our students - helping them explore careers in healthcare and prepare to serve in our hospitals, labs, and clinics.
This partnership shows how we can come together to prepare students for meaningful life-changing careers.

Today is Election Day! The famous phrase, “All politics is local,” reminds us that the decisions shaping our daily lives - our schools, neighborhoods, and communities - start locally. Critical local races are on the ballot today, including school boards and city councils. Your vote is your voice - it’s how we protect democracy, strengthen our schools, and support one another. Polls are open until 7:30 p.m. across Franklin County. Use your voice. Use your vote. Vote your values and help shape our future.

She helps us understand how the pause to SNAP benefits will impact not just those who rely on them, but our entire community and local economy. When families have less to spend on food and essentials, local grocery stores, farmers, and small businesses feel the ripple effects too.
