I had the honor of welcoming constituents to the Statehouse yesterday in recognition of Highland County Legislative Day. It’s always a privilege to connect with members of our community, hear your perspectives, and share the work being done on your behalf.

I enjoyed meeting with Ohio Farm Bureau Federation members from all four counties in my district this week at OFBF AgDays at the Capitol. I’m grateful for the opportunity to hear directly from our farmers and agricultural leaders about the issues impacting their communities and our state.

I was proud to deliver sponsor testimony on House Bill 170 before the Senate Energy Committee today. This legislation, introduced alongside Representative Robb-Blasdel, establishes a clear and responsible framework to regulate carbon capture and storage in Ohio. I look forward to advancing this bill through the Senate and ultimately to the Governor’s desk for signature.

I was excited to attend the opening of the Scioto Valley School District’s new school-based health clinic, in Piketon!

The health clinic was built with grant funding that was awarded as part of the Appalachian Children’s Health Initiative. This clinic will serve students, staff, and their families as well as our broader community.

I am excited to be introducing legislation that will improve Ohio’s Current Agricultural Use Value (CAUV) property tax savings program with my colleague Representative David Thomas.

CAUV is one of the most important farmland preservation tools in Ohio law. This bill is full of commonsense updates that will help Ohio agriculture to continue to be Ohio’s largest industry.
