SOAR Toastmasters is a local club of Toastmasters International. We are headquarters at Chase Home Lending in Columbus, OH.
SOAR Toastmasters is a club that meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday. It is a place to gain public speaking skills in a positive environment while also developing leadership skills and networking. There are many other benefits to joining. Everyone is encouraged to attend a meeting as a guest and see, in person, what SOAR Toastmasters can do for you.

Our next meeting is this Friday, November 20. Roles and speech slots are available. We hope to see you at the meeting.
Allison's speech from our meeting on September 23rd is certainly worth a watch.

Elections are fast approaching and we need candidates for each position. Please contact Tom Casasanta or one of the offices if you are interested in being a candidate. Elections will be held in our Wednesday Zoom meeting.

Club Officer Elections are fast approaching. Being an officer is a great way to develop and demonstrate your leadership skills. There are many different positions available in Toastmasters and you can reach out to current officers for information including Joseph Ferrone , Tom Casasanta and Bri Pergram .
* President - sets the tone for the club, you are expected to provide helpful, supportive leadership for all of the club’s activities
Vice President Education - schedule members’ speeches and projects and serve as a resource for questions about education awards, speech contests, and the mentor program
Vice President Membership - promote the club and manage the process of bringing in guests and transforming them into members
Vice President Public Relations - promote the club, update web content, and safeguard the Toastmasters brand identity
Secretary - maintain all club records, manage club files, handle club correspondence, and take the minutes at each club and executive committee meeting
Treasurer - manage the club’s bank account, writing checks as approved by the executive committee and depositing dues and other club revenues
Sergeant at Arms - keep track of the club’s physical property, such as the banner, lectern, timing device, and other meeting materials

SOAR Toastmasters will host our first virtual meeting on April 22nd. Members can sign-up for roles on our website. We have two speech slots open, along with most other roles. Hello fellow SOAR Toastmasters and guests. I hope everyone is doing well in this trying time. I'm looking forward to the time when we can get back to in-person meetings. For the time being we are discussing the idea of virtual meetings. Please let Tom Casasanta or one of the other officers know if you are interested in participating in a virtual meeting.

Congrats to Twyla Woodruff (1st place) and Tom Casasanta (2nd) representing SOAR, and Martha Espinosa (1st) representing TEAM, and for the participation in today’s International Speech Contest!
Twyla and Martha will represent their clubs at the Area Contest February 22. 🗣🎤🏆
Tomorrow, SOAR and TEAM Toastmasters club members will compete in the International Speech Contest at Noon in the Easton Room. 🏆
