Established in 2015, Central Ohio Young Black Democrats was created to mentor, recruit, & empower a new generation of Black leaders across central Ohio.
Membership is inclusive and is open to ages 18-40. Our purpose is to be leaders in both politics and community activism within the central Ohio region. We actively push to engage, educate, enable, and inspire action & collaboration within the black community. Although we are catalytic in our work and efforts in the Black community first, we do not limit ourselves in serving as a bridge to the entire community in Central Ohio.

Today, the COYBD Executive Board spent the day focused on voter engagement and participation. 🗳️
We kicked things off in Whitehall, making sure residents know what’s at stake in the May 28 Special Election, while also reminding folks that the May 5 Primary is just 3 days away.
Then we pulled up to support our mentors, and , at early vote.
We wrapped up the day by voting together as a team—making sure our voices are heard.
