While on recess, we have the opportunity to connect with constituents and businesses in the district and across Ohio to discuss opportunities and challenges they face. This week, I visited Fresenius Dialysis in Norwalk. They wanted to discuss legislation currently being contemplated in my Insurance Committee and give me a tour of their facility. They are only dialysis service provider in Huron County.

Today, Governor Mike DeWine and I had the opportunity to celebrate all three New London school buildings being named “Governor’s Science of Reading Champions.” They are one of only a few districts in Ohio to achieve this distinction.
We also highlighted the state’s OhioSEE program, which provides vision screenings and glasses for students who need them. When children can see clearly, they have an essential tool for learning to read, and for success in the classroom. 📕 👓

Proud to see House Bill 646 pass unanimously out of the Ohio House. As data centers continue to expand across our state, it is critical that we take a thoughtful, proactive approach. This legislation ensures Ohio studies their full impact, on energy, infrastructure, land use, and local communities, so both state and local governments are equipped with best practices to navigate this rapidly evolving digital frontier.

Feel Good Friday! 🎉
Today I had the distinct honor of visiting Norwalk High School to recognize senior Brook Heyman with a commendation from the Ohio House of Representatives. She was joined today by her Teen Leadership Corp.
Brook achieved something extraordinary—she scored a perfect 36 on her ACT during her junior year!
This is an incredible accomplishment and a proud moment for our entire community. I know her family must be bursting with pride.
Congratulations, Brook, and thank you for making Norwalk so proud! 👏
