Last week, our Cougar Battalion Cadets got to sharpen their marksmanship skills and have some fun at EST, followed by spending the next day at the range. Range day is often a favorite for our cadets, while allowing for the improvement of fundamentals and fine tuning precision. Qualifying is an important part of CST, and we make multiple visits to the range throughout the year to best prepare our cadets for a successful outcome. Join us, and come blow off some steam on our next trip to the range!

Today, Cougar Battalion Cadets banded together with the basketball and softball teams to complete a workout in memory of those who lost their lives on 9/11. As they ran up and down flights of stairs with weight on their backs, they honored all 2,977 lives who perished on that somber day.
Dedicated tributes such as these ensure the victims, families, and the lasting impact of September 11, 2001, are not soon forgotten.

Take a moment today to reflect and remember those behind the numbers.

Team Work Makes the Dream Work! 🤝

Working together as a team is a vital part of your ROTC journey, and our Cougars shined in an incredible display of teamwork when we took over the Water Leader’s Reaction Course (WLRC) last week!
This course is a great way to bond with your fellow cadets and get to know each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Having trust in your battle buddies, being confident in yourself and your ability to lead, and being an active member of a team all come together to form one cohesive unit to get the job done. Not to mention, the water feels great this time of year! 🌊
Events like these entice you? Join us, and see if you’ve got what it takes to be a part of something great!

🌞What a beautiful day to give back!

Commemorating the CSU annual Day of Service, our Cougar Battalion Cadets put in work volunteering at the beautiful National Infantry Museum, cleaning monuments and polishing the walls of memorandum. Do you enjoy giving back (and free pizza?!) 👀🍕Be sure to join us next year, and keep an eye out for upcoming ways to be a part of something great!

✨WELCOME BACK, COUGARS! CST 2026 has officially ended, and we couldn’t be more proud of our 2027 Seniors on all of their accomplishments and hard work. Fall semester has only just begun, and we’ve already hit the ground running. In the span of only two short weeks, our Cougar Battalion Cadets have taken an AFT, completed the Combat Water Survival Test (CWST), and gotten hands on with equipment and training during our Warrior Skills Lab. This semester has so many exciting opportunities for our Cougars to grow and learn. Envision yourself as a leader? Come and be a part of something bigger than yourself! 🐾

Last Wednesday, our senior cadets had a great time whitewater rafting a team bonding experience where they got to relax and enjoy a well deserved day after all the hard work they’ve put into the program. It was a much needed break. We would also like to thank our senior PMS, LTC Cox, for making this opportunity possible. Soon, they will leave and begin a new chapter as 2LT Army Officers. Keep grinding and never stop leading by example. COUGARS LEAD THE WAY‼️

COUGAR BATTALION had a lot of surprises today‼️

We would like to CONGRATULATE our ROTC Alumni 2LT Strayer from graduating from RANGER SCHOOL. 2LT Strayer was the #1 cadet of the nation last year and had demonstrated his leadership, strength physically and mentally again. We are so proud of you for your accomplishments. Once a Cougar, always a Cougar!

This evening our PMS LTC Cox & MSG Shanks had the privilege to present 2 awards to our MS4 Cadets for their success, team player, accomplishments, and leadership. We are proud of you, keep working hard and lead by example!

COUGARS LEADS THE WAY‼️‼️

MS1s & MS2s got after it at Field Craft Lab 🔥💪
Preparing for FTX, they learned hands on from our MS4s, field nutrition & foot care, tying down equipment, constructing fox tails, packing & waterproofing rucks, face paint, and setting up hooches 🪖
This is where skills are built, confidence grows, and leaders are made. Keep grinding, keep improving, and always lead by example.
COUGARS LEAD THE WAY‼️‼️
