Army Combatives Program of the Ohio Army National Guard

In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, the Ohio National Guard is reviewing and adjusting its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. Finish the Fight! Proud of our Ohio Army National Guard Combatives Competition Team, which is participating in the Lacerda Cup through Friday, April 8 at the National Maneuver Center of Excellence, located in Fort Benning, Ga., with 19 teams from across the Total Army force competing for championship titles. The Ohio team is the only one that comes from the Reserve Component.

The U.S. Army Combatives Program enhances unit combat readiness by building Soldiers' personal courage, confidence and resiliency, as well as their situational responsiveness to close quarters threats in the operational environment.

Due to the current situation the Tactical Combatives Course being conducted from 11-22 May 2020 has been cancelled. The intent is to conduct this course at a later date this training year, however with the current situation and the DoD travel ban there are only tentative dates. If you had a reservation for this course stay in contact with your Unit and they will be able to give you information from any FRAGO's put out by the State. We will also update the event on this page once the dates have been finalized. Sorry for the inconvenience and we looked to see you at the next Combatives event, whenever that may be.
