As we wrap up bike safety month, make sure you are always taking steps to protecting yourself. Wear a helmet, choose bright or reflective clothing, and make sure you have a light if you’re out after dark so you can see and be seen on the road.

We are excited to announce that our previous longest standing board chair, Mayor Chris Amorose Groomes will now be leading our Central Ohio Passenger Rail Council. As chair, she will guide regional stakeholders as they transition from transit planning to executing actionable rail strategies. Read more at morpc.org/news

MORPC is now accepting applications for federal transportation funding to support projects like roads, sidewalks, bikeways, and transit improvements across Central Ohio.
Approximately $109 million is expected to be available for projects planned between 2027–2033, making now the time to start planning and applying.

Key deadlines:
- Project updates: July 10
- Screening applications: July 17
- Final applications: September 25

We’re accepting public comment on the 2027–2031 TSI Draft Capital Improvement Program.
The plan advances 75 projects and supports building 150+ miles of sidewalks, bikeways, and trails over the next five years.
