Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the extraordinary courage of the first responders, public servants, and everyday New Yorkers who answered an unimaginable tragedy with bravery and compassion.
Twenty-five years later, we continue to carry forward the memory of those we lost and the spirit of unity and service that emerged in the days that followed.
On behalf of all of us at DASNY - Dormitory Authority of the State of New York , I extend our deepest respect to the families who lost loved ones, the survivors, and all those whose lives were forever changed by September 11.
We will never forget.
