📣 Cocke County Friends and Neighbors: A Quick Request for TODAY!

The Cocke County CLB meets TONIGHT, Monday, October 19, and the zoning request for the former FCE property at 4381 Cosby Highway is on the agenda.

Before tonight's meeting, please contact your CLB members by email, phone call, or text.

The request is simple: Ask that the zoning matter be tabled, as other zoning matters have been, until the countywide zoning issue is resolved.

You can share your thoughts about the property or simply ask that the matter be given more time for consideration.

A short email, quick call, or text today is all it takes to make your views known.

We made it past 200! 🥳❤️

On this rainy Saturday, while a whole bunch of us were running around getting soaked at the Newport Street Festival 😂, our petition crossed 200 online signatures!

Let's see if we can hit 300 before October 19!

Alright y’all, we’re not done.

The Planning Commission was just the first step. The rezoning request for the former FCE property will go before the Cocke County Legislative Body on October 19.

We’re still collecting signatures, and our next goal is 200 signatures. If you haven’t signed yet, please do. If you already signed, share it again and help us reach the people who still don’t know what’s going on.

And mark October 19 on your calendar. I want people in that room. You don’t have to speak. You don’t need to understand zoning or government meetings or any of that mess. Just showing up matters.

All we’re asking for right now is time. Time to get the records, get answers to the questions we still have, and give this community a real chance to have a conversation about a property that has been part of Cosby for decades before anything irreversible happens.

Next goal: 200. Let’s get there.
