The Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation is hosting their 23rd annual Go Wild for Conservation fundraiser this Thursday, September 10th! Online bidding is open and tickets are still available for this exciting event centered around celebrating conservation in Pottawattamie County. Proceeds from this year's event will directly support renovations of the gallery at Hitchcock Nature Center and support scholarships across all schools in Pottawattamie County. Get ready to pink out Pottawattamie County!

A special collection of Pottawattamie County breast cancer awareness apparel is now available through Anytime Tees, with proceeds from shirt sales directly benefiting patients undergoing breast cancer treatment at CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs through the CHI Health Mercy Oncology Fund.

The online store is open through Tuesday, September 15 at 11:59 p.m., with T-shirts, long sleeves, crewnecks and sweatshirts available in multiple sizes, including youth options.

Orders will be ready by September 29 so that you can have them in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Shipping is available, or orders can be picked up at Anytime Tees in Council Bluffs.

Pottawattamie County will also recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month again this October with a proclamation from the Board of Supervisors and by illuminating the courthouse pink in support of those impacted by breast cancer.

Unfortunately tonight's Perseids Night Sky Event has been cancelled due to cloud cover.

Habitat for Humanity of Council Bluffs' work extends far beyond the Council Bluffs city limits.

There are several projects underway that are helping to expand Habitat's reach farther across Pottawattamie County, including six new townhomes planned in Minden and a growing number of critical home repairs throughout the county.

Habitat representatives shared that vision during the Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors meeting this week, including plans to continue building on existing partnerships.
