Northshore Young Republicans - NSYR

10/09/2026

The Northshore Young Republicans had the opportunity to attend AFP’s 250th Gala, celebrating the 250th anniversary of America’s founding! 🇺🇸

We had the privilege of meeting Marcus Luttrell, the Navy SEAL and author of Lone Survivor, as well as a remarkable 104-year-old World War II veteran whose generation helped preserve our freedom.

It was an incredible evening filled with meaningful conversations, inspiring stories, and memories we’ll never forget. We’re grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our nation’s history and honor those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

God bless America! 🇺🇸

A well deserved endorsement. Congratulations Mark Wright for Public Service Commission

REPUBLICAN PARTY OF ST. TAMMANY PARISH ENDORSES MARK WRIGHT FOR PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

The Republican Party of St. Tammany Parish has officially endorsed Mark Wright for Louisiana Public Service Commission.

As a Covington resident, Mark Wright has proudly represented the people of St. Tammany in the Louisiana Legislature since 2017. This endorsement reflects strong local support for his proven leadership and his commitment to delivering reliable, affordable energy and water investment, while putting Louisiana families and businesses first.

As a conservative leader and House Republican Chairman, Mark Wright has built a reputation for standing up for taxpayers, demanding accountability, and focusing on practical, results-driven solutions.

Mark Wright is running to bring common-sense leadership to the Public Service Commission—ensuring decisions are based on sound economics, transparency, and the best interests of ratepayers, not politics.

Mark’s Platform:

🇺🇸 Affordable & Reliable Power – Mark will fight for low-cost, reliable electricity for families and businesses, ensuring utility rates are based on sound economics—not corporate interests or political agendas. He will also ensure new data centers pay their full share of electricity costs.

🇺🇸 Demand Responsible Water Investment – Mark will work to address ongoing issues with Northshore water systems, ensuring clean, reliable water without placing unnecessary financial burdens on families.

🇺🇸 Modernize the Electric Grid – Mark will support smart investments aligned with national priorities and Louisiana’s needs to reduce outages and better protect communities after storms.

🇺🇸 Responsible Utility Oversight – Mark will push for clear, consistent expectations that hold utilities accountable to customers. With a record of cutting bureaucratic red tape, he understands how to prevent monopoly overreach while delivering results.

🇺🇸 Transparent & Accessible Leadership – Mark believes public service starts with listening. He will host monthly town halls and maintain regular communication with local leaders to ensure every voice is heard.

With the endorsement of the Republican Party of St. Tammany Parish, Mark Wright’s campaign continues to build strong momentum across Southeast Louisiana.
