📣❗We need your help!

We are working on an upcoming exhibit called "Life in a Mill Community" which focuses on individuals who lived and worked in either a textile mill, lumber mill, or lumber camp community from 1880-1945.

In preparation for the exhibit, we are hoping to borrow objects and high-resolution images in relation to this topic. The exhibit, set to open at MOA in May 2027 and run until May 2030, will interpret life in mill communities in the following Northeastern North Carolina counties: Bertie, Beaufort, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Northampton, Martin, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Tyrrell, and Washington.

E entered NC Cooperative Extension CurrituckCES 4-H eggcellent egg contest. She had to do an egg shell strength experiment, showcase the parts of our coop and run, and submit eggs to be graded. For the third year in a row, she took home a ribbon!! Red (second place) for her blue/green eggs 🥚🥚🥚🪺🐓

This has been life changing to me in the last few months of meal planning and meal prep. The eggs are the same texture and consistency of hard boiled, minus the work of peeling. Even my daughter, who is notoriously selective in her eating says there’s no difference, besides shape! Give it a try and see how much time and work it saves you in the kitchen- even with backyard eggs which are harder to peel due to their freshness. 🥚🥚🥚🍳
