General Treatment Options for PTSD:
1. Prolonged Exposure (involves talk about and sitting with the negative feelings to gain control over them)
2. Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) (teaches reframing of negative thoughts surrounding the trauma itself, Invovles talking and writing about experiences)
3. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) (involves following a back and forth movement with the eyes as you talk about trauma, aids in processing of the events )
4. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) (MRI level electromagnetic radiation is sent to target regions of the brain to reconnect proper connections that may have been altered due to trauma)
5. Medication (see attached post for list of common medications used to treat PTSD)
