Let me get this straight. We used our tax dollars to bomb Iran. And now we’re using our tax dollars to rebuild Iran. Cool cool cool.
I get it, politics. But I am so tired of nation building. And if we’re going to do it anyway, at least go all in. Don’t half-ass it. Put people in charge who actually like us and restore Iran to what it was before the revolution. You want a blueprint? Look at Iran in the 1960s. That place was thriving.
But you want to send $300 billion over there? No. Keep it. Pay down the debt. Fund veteran programs. Fix the roads and bridges falling apart in your own backyard.
Don’t write a check to Tehran and call it foreign policy. Because in twenty years my kids aren’t going to be reading about Iran in a history book. They are going to be living this same nightmare as adults. Same problem, different decade. We are literally just kicking the can down the road and handing our kids the bill.
