Well, after unsuccessfully trying to work with Facebook to rename this page, it looks like that won’t happen. I think, sometimes, that’s the universe telling you that it’s time for a completely new direction! 😉 I wish all of you, that have followed this page, a safe, happy and healthy New Year. Look me up in 2022!

What a beautiful day to attend the 27th Annual Spirit of the Centennial Awards Luncheon, hosted by the Friends of Fair Park, with this year’s honored award recipient being Trammell S. Crow! It is always wonderful to hear about the work Mr. Crow is doing, as the founder of EarthX, and to learn more about what one of our most important Friends Groups is doing for our beloved Fair Park. These grounds are on the cusp of amazing changes that will truly revitalize this area of Dallas and be of such a benefit to the surrounding neighbors. We look forward to what the future holds for Fair Park, and I am so excited to attend the fair in person again this year!

How do you eat an elephant? 🐘 One bite at a time! It was another long work day at the new Cochran Park Pollinator Garden. Hands were few today, but we still got a lot accomplished. These might be two of the hardest working volunteers in our district. 😊 We finally got to plant some seeds and transplant some starts of Butterfly W**d. Most exciting, though, was our first visitor to the garden...a Common Buckeye butterfly!
Have a fantastic holiday weekend, !

Ecstatic for the Friends of Santa Fe Trail and the completion of the mural project at Brookside Bridge, along the Santa Fe Trail! Dallas is really making strides with a push for more art along our trails, and this is truly a phenomenal addition.
I love how artist Dan Colcer captures nature, as we experience it along our trails, co-existing with the angular backdrop of our metropolitan city of steel and glass. This is the perfect reminder of how we cherish our outdoor spaces as an integral part of life in a big city. As a proponent of pollinator gardens, I especially love the nod to the Gulf Fritillary butterfly pausing for a rest near her caterpillar host plant, the Passion Vine. This guy knows his stuff. ☺️

Congratulations, again, to the Friends Group on this spectacular accomplishment!
