Dallas Sheriff’s Posse

The Dallas Sheriff’s Posse will be riding in the 2025 Stock Show Parade in Downtown Ft. Worth on Saturday, January 18th.
The Stock Show Parade is the World’s Largest EQUESTRIAN ONLY parade with over 3000 horse, mules, and donkeys.
The parade starts moving at 11:00am going South on Main St. from the Courthouse to the Convention Center and then back North on Commerce St..
The parade is FREE to watch and is also live-streamed on the Cowboy Channel.

The Posse is converting one of our UTVs to be a Disaster Response Vehicle. Outfitting it with tools and equipment to aid during natural disasters and other critical events.

The Dallas Sheriff's Posse will be riding in the 2024 Oak Cliff Mardi Gras Parade on Sunday, February 11th. The Parade starts at 1:00pm and travels East along W. Davis Street from Mary Cliff Road to N. Llewellyn Ave./Cedar Hill Ave..

Come out and enjoy a Family Friendly parade and Festivities. Maybe you will catch some of our beads.

Later this evening Posse Members will be riding in the Grand Entry of the Stock Show Rodeo at the Dickie’s Arena.

THE POSSE IS RECRUITING

The Dallas Sheriff's Posse is recruiting for new members.

You don't have to be a Peace Officer,
You don't even have to own a Horse,
What you do need is a love of horses and the western lifestyle & values.

We are a volunteer organization that serves as both a public relations arm of the Dallas Sheriff's Department and division of the Department providing additional services at the direction of Sheriff Marian Brown.

In addition to parades throughout Dallas County, the Posse makes personal appearances at different events and venues in the North Texas area. From time to time we are called upon to assist with Critical Missing Person(s) Searches and Livestock spills (livestock truck crashes).
