Time to work harder in Frisco Lakes.

There is an election coming up on Tuesday, November 5 with early voting happening now through Friday November 1. Most people will have 10 amendments to the Texas constitution on the ballot. Others may also have special and municipal elections. Go vote, but when you do vote NO on Amendment 4 (a back door to harm public education and eliminate the state business tax) and NO on Amendment 9 (which will just enable the fever dreams of Texas secessionists). Vote YES on the rest.

These dams needed replacing 15 years ago. Now Texas will drain four lakes instead — causing other problems. Two floodgate failures on 90-year-old Guadalupe River Valley dams — and the plan to lower the remaining four — are highlighting Texas' underfunded, aging flood infrastructure.
